Questions and answers of the customers
- A My fitbit tracks all my steps.
- A I don't know, BUT I have found that Fitbit is more than helpful. I suggest calling Fitbit to determine the solution.
- A My uncle said he was able to do that and it was great for his physical therapy needs after having his knee replaced. Had to start slow and work up to his goals. 10.000 steps isn’t a likely daily goal for people with injuries or recovering from knee/hip replacements or for people who have to have a foot amputated. For example. (So the jerk who was being sarcastic/Snide about making 500 steps a goal needs to maybe keep that in mind before judging those that struggle to hit 500 steps. Not everyone can do/start with more than that. Great question!
- A You can purchase an extended warranty thru Fitbit for a 2 year warranty. Unpaid $15.00
- A I haven't found a way, but you might want to post this on the Fitbit Inspire board over at fitbit .comYou can always leave the app open to check steps on your phone.
- A I guess so! As long as you can download the Fitbit app in your iPod. Fitbit uses an app that can be downloaded in any device that allows it.
- A Mine lasts approximately 4 to 5 days. I would think to make the battery last longer do not press the side button to look at stats often. I check my phone instead. Hope this is helpful.
- A Fitbit says the Inspire is waterproof. I do dishes with it on, but I don't shower with it on.
- A I only track my steps
- A Honestly I have not tried it without my phone. I will update my review when I find out.
- A Yes you can track water.
- A No. the inspire does not give you a Heart Rate. the inspire HR gives you a constant Heart Rate.
- A No text or calls. Basic steps, etc
- A It comes with the charging cable only. You will need to supply your own charger. Most of your old iphone or android phone chargers will work. You would even be able to use your current phone charger you just have to swap cables out.
- A Yes it will work. You just will not be able to see previous days data. It does store more than 1 day of steps but eventually you will start to over write previous days and you will not be able to get them back. So you should sync every few days at the least.
- A I don't think so.
- A might be able too it is water proof
- A No mine does not have one
- A No it tracks activities that you can program
- A Yes it does. There are 15 different watch face you can choose from. Some are digital with various other information showing, and some are analog that may include date (month and day).
- A Yes includes the cable which plugs into standard 5 volt USB AC to DC "transformers". I do not use my Fitbit anymore since it needs charging every two days. There are many other devices as efficient, less costly and less reliant on charging every few days. The original fitbit one and such could go a week between charging!
- A It counts calories all day.
- A No, it does however measure pulse rate.
- A According to many sources, yes. Look on the Internet for titles like: "How to download the Fitbit App for iPhone and iPad". I haven't tried my Inspire with the iPad, however.
- A It shouldn't matter as long as you can download the app in the playstore or apple store. I have a pretty old phone and it works great.
- Q does the fitbit inspire measure blood pressure? maximum number of recordings and days of recordings?A No it does not measure blood pressure. It does monitor heart rate (pulse)From the sensors in the wrist band. Very accurate. I have my heart rate recordings for the past 5 months since I purchased it. Graphs them by resting rate, fat burn and cardio levels. Watch the heart rate in real time on the app and wrist band monitor.
- A HI QUALITY
- A If you wear it on your wrist, yes, it will track heart rate. I use the optional belt holder so it does not for me.
- A yes

- A Fitbit devices use a 3-axis accelerometer to understand your motions. An accelerometer is a device that turns movement (acceleration) into digital measurements (data) when attached to the body. By analyzing acceleration data, our devices provide detailed information about frequency, duration, intensity, and patterns of movement to determine your steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, and sleep quality. The 3-axis implementation allows the accelerometer to measure your motion in any way that you move, making its activity measurements more precise than older, single-axis pedometers.Fitbit devices have a finely tuned algorithm for step counting. The algorithm is designed to look for motion patterns that are most indicative of people walking. The algorithm determines whether a motion's size is large enough by setting a threshold. If the motion and its subsequent acceleration measurement meet the threshold, the motion will be counted as a step. If the threshold is not met, the motion won’t be counted as a step.Other factors can create enough acceleration to meet our threshold and cause some over counting of steps, such as riding on a bumpy road. Our engineers have worked diligently on your tracker's algorithms to make sure that it does not pick up false steps or activity recordings while in a car. Unless you are driving in a car with a stiff transmission or on back country roads, your tracker should not give you credit for any work that you don't do. If you do pick up some steps while driving, see How do I edit or delete Fitbit data and activities? for instructions on removing steps.Your device may register movements or restlessness as steps when you're wearing it while you sleep. The number of steps typically measured during these periods is minimal, and should not offset your overall fitness progress. Any steps taken to and from other rooms during the night will also be tracked. Equally, it's possible for the algorithm to undercount (not meet the required acceleration threshold). Examples here include walking on a very soft surface such as a plush carpet. For information about specific conditions see How accurate are Fitbit devices?HOW DOES MY FITBIT DEVICE CALCULATE DISTANCE?Fitbit devices calculate distance by multiplying your walking steps by your walking stride length and multiplying your running steps by your running stride length. We estimate your stride lengths using your height and sex. If your Fitbit device uses GPS and you track 1 or more runs using on-board or connected GPS, we evaluate that data to automatically update your running stride length. For best results, run at a comfortable pace for at least 10 minutes. If you prefer to measure your walking and running stride lengths yourself and enter them manually, see How do I measure and adjust my stride length?Note that when you're tracking an activity with GPS, Fitbit calculates your distance using GPS data rather than steps. If you begin moving before you get a GPS signal, the tracker will calculate distance using steps and stride length as described above until a GPS signal is found.HOW DOES MY FITBIT DEVICE CALCULATE CALORIES BURNED?Fitbit devices estimate your calorie burn based on your age, sex, height, and weight. If your device measures heart rate, the calorie burn estimate also takes heart rate into account. Note that the value you see on your Fitbit device when you wake up in the morning is your estimated calorie burn for the day so far. You still burn calories even if you are sedentary or sleeping.WHEN DOES THE DATA ON MY FITBIT DEVICE RESET?Your Fitbit device resets your data to zero each night at midnight. For most devices, your minute-to-minute data is stored in your tracker for up to 7 days without syncing. If you have a Fitbit Alta your minute-to-minute data is stored for up to 5 days. A daily summary of your activity is stored for up to 30 days.
- A Absolutely -- as long as the app is on your desktop or laptop . . .
- A As long as you can download the Fitbit app on your phone, it should work. You don’t HAVE to connect it to a device, but to access all of its features it’s best to connect it with the app.
- A The Fitbit is Bluetooth. It connects with both android and iOS phones, of course, with the corresponding app.
- A Mine vibrates
- A The Alta is a bit smaller but the Inspire is sleeker looking.
